Hi, I’m Raul Barrea, a physics instructor, lifelong learner, and black belt in karate.

And I wasn’t always good at physics.

In fact, I used to fail exams. I thought the secret to success was doing what everyone else was doing: copying their study methods, memorizing formulas, and hoping for the best.
But it didn’t work.

Everything changed when I stopped trying to learn like others
 and started training like me.

Just like in martial arts, I began approaching physics with focus, discipline, and repetition. I broke down problems into smaller movements—like learning a new kata. I stopped cramming and started mastering the basics. I practiced with intention. And slowly but surely, I started to understand physics—not just survive it.

Once I made that shift, my grades exploded—and so did my confidence.

Why “Physics Sensei”?

In martial arts, a Sensei is more than a teacher. A Sensei guides students on a path of growth, one step at a time—based on who they are, not who they’re trying to copy.

That’s the approach I bring to physics.
