Meet The Physics Sensei
Physics shouldn't feel impossible.
After more than 30 years teaching college physics, I realized most students don't need more information. They need a better way to learn. That's why I created Physics Sensei.

Hi, I'm Raul Barrea, PhD.
I hold a PhD in Physics, have spent more than three decades teaching college physics, and I'm also a black belt in karate.
Although physics and martial arts may seem unrelated, they share the same lesson: mastery doesn't come from talent, it comes from consistent training.
Why I Built Physics Sensei
For years I watched students do the same thing: they attended class, copied notes, read the textbook, watched videos, and then froze when they faced a new problem.
Students weren't failing because they lacked intelligence. They were failing because no one had shown them how to train physics as a skill. Physics Sensei was created to change that.

The Physics Sensei Philosophy
Physics is a Skill
Learning physics is like learning a martial art.
Train, Don't Memorize
Understanding grows through practice.
Progress Beats Perfection
Small improvements become big results.
Every Student Can Improve
With the right guidance and enough repetitions.
Beyond Physics
When I first earned my black belt, I realized something that changed the way I teach. A black belt isn't someone who never struggled.
It's someone who kept showing up, practicing, and improving one step at a time. That's exactly how I believe physics should be learned.
Every difficult concept becomes manageable when it's broken into smaller skills and practiced consistently.
That philosophy shapes every resource you'll find on Physics Sensei.
